Job Summary
Travel to customer sites to install and perform preventative maintenance inspections on machine tool equipment using on-line technical documents, how-to videos, and checklists. Ensure accurate documentation is completed and submitted to the office and customer regarding service status. Report directly to the Service Manager while utilizing a company vehicle and gas for regional territory travel. Dispatched daily from home to work at various locations, this role requires flexible hours, frequent driving, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in mechanical or electrical repair and/or maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret procedures and how-to guides
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be highly mobile, able to access all areas of the premises
- Ability to concentrate and remain focused while prioritizing multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects
- Ability to sit for prolonged period of times
- Ability to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderate to heavyweight material up to 50 lbs
- Ability to frequently use hands and arms
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods while servicing equipment
- Ability to work in tight spaces or awkward positions, including accessing equipment interiors and elevated areas
- Strong hand–eye coordination and fine motor skills
- Ability to work in industrial environments, with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other manufacturing conditions, while consistently wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds
- Reliability is a must
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job
- Must be available for flexible hours and frequent travel and driving throughout a regional territory
