Job Summary
Travel to customer sites to install and perform preventative maintenance inspections on CNC machine tool equipment using on-line technical documents, how-to videos, and checklists. Ensure accurate documentation is completed and submitted to the office and customer regarding service status. Dispatched daily from home to travel throughout a regional territory, this role requires flexible hours and frequent driving. The position involves lifting up to 50 pounds and working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, lubricants, and metal chips while wearing required PPE. You will read and interpret procedures, utilize software applications on a laptop and smartphone, and maintain strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in mechanical or electrical repair and/or maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret procedures and how-to guides
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be highly mobile, able to access all areas of the premises
- Ability to concentrate and remain focused while prioritizing multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects
- Ability to sit for prolonged period of times
- Ability to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderate to heavyweight material up to 50 lbs. with assistance from equipment or other employees
- Ability to frequently use hands and arms
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods while servicing equipment
- Ability to work in tight spaces or awkward positions, including accessing equipment interiors and elevated areas
- Strong hand–eye coordination and fine motor skills
- Ability to work in industrial environments, with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other manufacturing conditions, while consistently wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to travel to customer facilities
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, regularly lifting 40-50 pounds
- Reliability is a must
- This position requires flexible hours and frequent travel and driving throughout a regional territory
Desired Qualifications
- Prior CNC experience is a plus, but not required
- Software experience, like Microsoft office, is a plus
