Pressure Testing & Cleaning / Passivation Manager

Job Summary
Develop the overall testing and cleaning strategy aligned with project milestones, defining test philosophies and procedures for pneumatic testing, flushing, chemical cleaning, and passivation. Manage and coordinate specialist subcontractors for pressure testing and cleaning activities, reviewing and approving their method statements, risk assessments, and inspection plans. Take ownership of high-risk activities such as pressurisation systems, ensuring detailed risk assessments and safe systems of work are implemented. Supervise test preparation, pressurisation, cleaning operations, and passivation processes while ensuring proper sequencing and minimal rework. Ensure all activities meet project specifications, applicable codes like ASME B31.3, and client QA requirements by verifying test results and managing punch lists. Oversee compilation of test packs and records to ensure full traceability for system handover, coordinating closely with construction, QA/QC, commissioning, and engineering teams. Develop and maintain testing schedules, track progress against plan, and report to the Sanofi Project Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Pressure Testing & Cleaning / Passivation Manager
- Knowledge of piping system testing and cleaning activities
- Knowledge of pneumatic testing
- Knowledge of flushing
- Knowledge of chemical cleaning
- Knowledge of passivation
- Ability to plan testing and cleaning strategy
- Ability to define test philosophy (hydro vs pneumatic)
- Ability to define cleaning and passivation procedures
- Ability to review project P&IDs / Line lists/System boundaries
- Ability to establish Test pack structure
- Ability to define cleaning circuits
- Ability to define System turnover sequence
- Ability to manage and coordinate specialist subcontractors
- Ability to review and approve Method statements
- Ability to review and approve Risk assessments (RAMS)
- Ability to review and approve ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans)
- Ability to ensure Adequate resourcing
- Ability to ensure Competency of personnel
- Ability to ensure Compliance with project standards
- Ability to take ownership of high-risk activities
- Ability to ensure detailed risk assessments and method statements are in place
- Ability to implement Exclusion zones and safety controls
- Ability to adhere to Safe systems of work
- Ability to interface with HSE team
- Ability to interface with Client safety representatives
- Ability to supervise and coordinate Test preparation
- Ability to supervise and coordinate Pressurisation and testing
- Ability to supervise and coordinate Cleaning and flushing operations
- Ability to supervise and coordinate Passivation processes
- Ability to ensure Proper sequencing of systems
