Job Summary
Assist in the performance of all external make-ready operations and clean-up activities following changeover between label jobs. Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment, strip plates from cylinders, and locate dies to and from the press. Comply with quality assurance specifications by completing quality assurance sheets and associated documentation. Maintain machinery cleanliness and organize the workspace while adhering to all company safety policies. Work overtime when needed and as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to communicate and interact well with others (verbally and written form)
- Ability to read and understand a job ticket
- Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements (able to pass a ruler test)
- Ability correctable to 20/20 (able to pass an eye test)
- Ability to differentiate colors (able to pass a color test)
- Ability to input data in the computer
- Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of assigned activities
- Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused and follow instructions
- Ability to stand and move around press area for long periods of time
- Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
