Job Summary
Assist in the performance of all external make-ready and clean-up operations during changeover activities, including stripping plates from cylinders and locating dies. Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment while maintaining machinery cleanliness and workspace organization. Comply with quality assurance specifications by completing associated documentation and view labels with assistance of a strobe light as needed. Execute job setup and support in accordance with printing specifications and customer requirements. Work overtime when assigned and prioritize multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Requires ability to read job tickets, measurements, and pass vision and color tests.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to communicate and interact well with others (verbally and written form); seen as a team player
- Ability to read and understand a job ticket
- Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements (able to pass a ruler test)
- Ability correctable to 20/20 (able to pass an eye test)
- Ability to differentiate colors (able to pass a color test)
- Ability to input data in the computer
- Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on-time completion of assigned activities
- Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused and follow instructions
- Ability to stand and move around press area for long periods of time
- Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Assertive and solution-focused
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Print shop experience helpful, but not required
