Job Summary
Set up various single-level compaction presses and run 3 Ton presses while monitoring in-process inspection, adjustment, tray loading, and furnace operation. Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspection steps including visual sorting, flow testing, length, OD, and burr checks. Execute the entire process from setup through pressing and inspection, meeting tight production requirements across long runs by reacting in real time. Switch between two roles or pitches in the cell daily and perform 2–3 set-ups per shift when necessary. Apply a value stream approach to execute tasks independently while collaborating as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 –3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to set up and run compaction presses
- Perform 2 – 3 set-ups per shift when necessary
- Operate multiple presses or inspection equipment at the same time
- Mechanical aptitude
- Excellent mathematical aptitude
- Knowledge of tools and gauges
- Blueprint reading
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independent as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
