Job Summary
Trainee will assist in loading/unloading presses, break loads apart after pressing, inspect panels for correctness, document traceability information, and learn to operate multiple press machines under supervision. Responsibilities include checking process specifications against work orders, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining a clean work area, following PPE policies, and learning to set up pressing conditions while gaining hands-on experience with press 2, 6, 11, 15, 30 and 31 to manufacture quality panels and liners; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work overtime and weekends, and communicate effectively across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalence
- One or two years of related experience and/or training a plus but not required
- Acceptable Spirometry Test results (full/ half respirator use)
- Must be available to work any shift, over-time and weekends
- Must be able to work in a team environment, ie follow instructions
- Bend, Twist, and Stand for 8-10 hours a day in extreme heat or cold
- Use hands for simple and power grasping as well as push/pull and fine manipulation
- Be willing to work in a manufacturing environment
- Basic Math Skills: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division
- Accurately uses and understands how to read a measuring tape
- Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels of the organization
- Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
