Job Summary
Press Operator / Sheet Metal Technician responsible for forming and fabricating precision aerospace/defense components. Interprets sketches, routings, and product specifications to determine part requirements and manufacturing sequence; sets up and operates fabrication equipment (shears, press brakes, forming presses, rolls, expanders, sandblasters, hand grinders); forms, bends, cuts, and straightens sheet metal to meet dimensional and quality requirements; performs deburring and finishing; assembles components per drawings; repairs/reworks sheet metal assemblies; verifies dimensional accuracy using verniers, micrometers, and Pi tapes; collaborates with teammates; follows safety, quality, and documentation requirements in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of related sheet metal or fabrication experience
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and routings
- Strong attention to detail, pride in craftsmanship, and a safety-first mindset
