Job Summary
Operate and monitor manufacturing presses according to production schedules and quality standards. Perform setup and changeover procedures for various production runs, including tooling adjustments and material loading. Conduct in-process quality checks, identifying and resolving minor defects or machine malfunctions. Load and unload raw materials and finished products from presses, ensuring proper handling and storage. Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and basic troubleshooting. Maintain accurate production records, including downtime, output, and quality data. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, and wear appropriate PPE. This role requires 2+ years of experience operating and setting up manufacturing presses and proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years experience operating and setting up manufacturing presses (e.g., stamping, forming, hydraulic)
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
- Demonstrated ability to perform quality checks using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting press issues
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

- Experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and machine interface
