Job Summary
Set up and adjust 10-colour flexographic printing press machines by installing plates, cylinders, and ensuring proper alignment. Monitor running conditions, check ink viscosity and levels, and verify roller and dryer functionality. Inspect printed rolls for defects, metal contaminants, and color accuracy using spot check systems and X-rite samples. Remove defects before sending to the next process and ensure the press area is clean for the incoming shift. This role operates on a 12-hour rotating schedule alternating between day and night shifts over a four-week cycle. Reports to the working area 15 minutes prior to shift start. Physical duties include lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for long periods.
