Job Summary
Press components into cans, rolls, bearings, and seals while positioning, stacking, and assembling parts according to specifications. Ensure accuracy by reading measuring devices and using schedules, prints, and tech standards. Report material or paperwork errors to the supervisor and collect required data. Perform general housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and extra assignments as needed. Work independently with minimal supervision in a loud environment near moving mechanical parts, wearing required safety gear. High school diploma or one to three months of related experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Strong commitment to quality and working safely
- Ability to read various measuring devices (e.g., measuring tape, caliper, micrometer, etc.)
- Ability to work independently or as a team with minimal supervision
- Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- High school diploma or a general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to frequently stoop/bend
- Must be able to frequently use hands and arms
- Must be able to regularly stand and walk
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds with assist available
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision
- Specific hearing abilities required for this job include the ability to hear equipment alarms and the ability to hear instructions from others
