Job Summary
Press Operator operates automatic hand-fed and coil-fed presses to produce finished products and inspects materials and products for defects to ensure quality per specifications. Roles include level-based duties such as pre-operating inspection, die setting assistance, coil setup, logging job activities, basic preventative maintenance, packing/labeling finished goods, and training new employees on presses. Core competencies include communication, planning, quality, adaptability, dependability, safety, and the ability to meet production rates while maintaining line efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating automated or semi-automated presses
- Ability to read and interpret job orders and production specifications
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance
- Ability to work in a team and follow safety procedures
- Willingness to obtain LOTO and forklift certifications
