Job Summary
Press Operator - O-rings duties include molding parts with a compression press, hand splices preforms, using the auto-splicer to prepare preforms, inspecting molds and ensuring adherence to the quality policy; follows work orders and safety rules, completes a 90-day probation, and performs additional duties as needed. Requires blueprint reading and understanding engineering drawings and customer specifications, knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures and inserts, and the ability to work in variable temperatures up to 105°F and lift up to 50 lbs. High school diploma or equivalent is required; manufacturing experience is preferred but entry-level candidates may be considered.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Manufacturing experience preferred but may consider other backgrounds for entry level position
- Must have strong command of blueprint reading including an understanding of engineering drawings and understanding/interpreting customer specifications
- Must have working knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures and inserts and other accessories used for machining
- Must have strong work ethic, professional attitude, be detail oriented as well as reliable
