PRESS OPERATOR - NIGHT SHIFT

Job Summary
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition while following prescribed safety regulations. Start machines, monitor operations, and record operational data. Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Use basic hand tools and read a tape measure to ensure safe machine operation and adherence to all guidelines and PPE requirements. Perform repetitive motions, bending, and twisting throughout the shift, including heavy lifting of 25 to 50 lbs, while working in hot or cold environments. Shift runs Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 3:00 AM with possible overtime on Fridays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must be able to do some heavy lifting (25 to 50 lbs)
- Must be able to work in a hot/cold environment
- Must be able to sit/stand and do repetitive motions for their entire shift
- Must be able to bend and twist throughout the day
- Must be able to work some overtime if needed
- Must be able to use basic hand tools
- prefer knowledge of press machines
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Must be able to operate a machine in a safe manner and adhere to all guidelines and PPE requirements at all times
- Must be able to follow simple basic instructions
- Good hand and eye coordination
- Excellent attendance (ability to arrive to work on time, as scheduled on a daily basis)
- Attention to detail and SAFETY a must
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent
- Schedule: Monday - Thursday 4:00 PM - 3:00 AM with possible overtime available on Fridays
