Job Summary
Operate one or more manually cycled press equipment to perform punching, shearing, and shaping operations on steel and aluminum components. Load raw material onto press tables using forklifts, align bars to end gauges, and activate the press via hand trips or foot pedals. Adjust air clamps, lubrication cycles, and die oil application to match job specifications while monitoring part quality and tolerance adherence. Perform pre-shift maintenance checks, basic machine PMs, and clean die components as needed. Complete accurate production reporting and material tracking using ERP software, move finished product to staging areas, and clear scrap regularly. Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout practices and PPE compliance while working in a production floor environment with exposure to noise, dust, and heat. A high school diploma and proficiency in reading job travelers and performing mathematical operations in both standard and metric units are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret job travelers, procedures, and instructions
- Proficiency in reading tape measures and scales
- Ability to perform mathematical operations using whole numbers and fractions in both standard and metric units
- Experience with various hand and power tools
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to take stairs
- Ability to work around constantly moving machinery
- Exposure to weather elements
- Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
