Job Summary
Run a brake press or automatic press to produce parts meeting specifications and productivity standards. Perform support functions including inspecting and boxing parts, completing die changeovers with assistance, and executing preventive maintenance on dies. Ensure production logs, lot tracking, and quality inspections are accurate, reporting defects and material issues to management. Maintain a clean work area, operate a forklift as needed, manage coil changes and scrap removal, and prepare shipping containers. Day shift runs from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- must be able to successfully complete training to receive permits for both forklifts and overhead cranes
- basic math skills
- ability to read and write English
- ability to judge spatial relationships and use logic (common sense)
- basic mechanical inclination
- ability to work well with minimal direct supervision
- ability to work well with others
- effective time management skills
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physicals with drug screens
