Job Summary
Analyze Imposition Run Sheets to determine required roll sizes and prepare rolls for multiple concurrent jobs to optimize press efficiency. Conduct thorough roll inspections, identifying damage and applying double-sided tape or constructing Running Paster Patterns. Become proficient in reel operation through hands-on training while adhering to safety procedures, including sweeping, mopping, and managing oil and debris. Continuously develop troubleshooting skills to diagnose web failures and identify root causes of breaks and unit malfunctions. Actively participate in press setup and cleanup, providing guidance to colleagues, and communicate effectively regarding work processes and issues. Gain a comprehensive understanding of the web path and demonstrate proficiency in running the press.
Required Qualifications
- Must be willing to work the night shift
- Must be willing to submit and pass the necessary required checks
- Must be available for shift work
- Must be available for various hours for coverage outside of normal business hours
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, reach and kneel repeatedly during a 8 hour shift
- Strong verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to read and understand mark ups for page location and color positions on all runs
- Can properly plate and remove plates, remove and install blankets, and purge black and color ink rails
- Competency in achieving ink and water balances, and density targets during press runs
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
