Job Summary

Set-up and run production jobs on flexographic printing press. Ensure all materials are ready before "Make Ready" begins, clean printing decks, and remove/install print cylinders. Set proper ink levels and viscosity, adjust decks for impression and registration, and verify all job aspects before supervisor approval. Remove wash-up ink/solvent mixtures into labeled hazardous waste drums per regulations. Work the 3rd shift (Sun.-Thurs., 10:45p to 7a) earning $24 to $28/hr with performance-based raises and full benefits after 45 days.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and/or move 75 lbs
  • Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32"
  • Proficiency in following oral and written instructions
  • Ability to read and understand schedule board and production orders
  • Ability to take direction from supervisor
  • Ability to keep a neat and clean work area
  • Ability to perform tasks in a timely manner
  • Color and peripheral vision
  • Ability to adjust focus in web inspection systems
  • Must be able to wear eye protection
  • Must be able to wear safety shoes
  • Must be able to wear hairnets
  • Must be able to wear beard nets
  • Must be able to wear earplugs
  • Must be able to work in a production facility with moving forklifts, mechanical parts, cleaning chemicals, fumes and low and high noise levels
  • Must be able to remove wash up ink/solvent mixture from Press and pour into satellite hazardous waste drum with correct labeling information in accordance with all local, state and federal rules and regulations
  • Must be able to place a gasket, bung and ring securely to close drum properly
  • Must be able to move the drum into the 90 day storage area
  • Must be able to ensure all materials needed for production jobs are at the Press before the Make Ready begins
  • Must be able to clean printing decks and wash previous job
  • Must be able to remove and install print cylinders
  • Must be able to set and maintain proper ink levels and viscosity
  • Must be able to set print decks for proper impression and registration
  • Must be able to check all aspects of production job before getting supervisor approval to run
  • Must be able to work 3rd Shift (Sun.-Thurs., 10:45p to 7a)
  • Must be able to work initial training on 1st shift
  • Must be able to work full time
  • Must be able to work in an Industrial/Manufacturing setting

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior Printing experience in Off-Set or Flexographic printing is PREFERRED
  • Good attendance

  • Attention to detail
  • Basic math and measuring skills
