Job Summary
Press Operator on the Cherryville, NC site working 3rd shift. Responsibilities include operating molding equipment, making adjustments to ensure product quality, following procedures, recording and interpreting process data, using measuring equipment, communicating with colleagues and supervisors, and training others as needed. Requires reading procedures, basic arithmetic, understanding decimals/fractions/percentages/averages, writing legibly, and applying SPC fundamentals. Emphasis on attendance, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Base pay $18-$21 per hour with full-time employment.
Required Qualifications
- Able to read and understand procedures, process sheets, etc.
- Able to do basic math calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
- Understand decimals, fractions, percentages, averages, etc.
- Able to write legible sentences.
- Operate and adjust equipment properly.
- Properly use measuring equipment and accurately interpret results.
- Understand and apply SPC fundamentals.
- Demonstrate satisfactory relational skills with regard to communications, cooperative associations, and participation in continuous improvement.
- Thorough knowledge of all applicable process documentation.
- Exhibit positive team behaviors.
