Job Summary
Operate a vinyl base film printer and laminator, including setup, machine adjustments, and preventative maintenance. Manage cylinder changes, material handling, and ink mixing while ensuring safe handling and storage of cylinders. Perform operator checks, troubleshoot errors, and minimize production waste by eliminating non-conforming product. Maintain accurate records, complete production logs, and verify colors against master files and special samples. Report quality non-conformances and ensure compliance with all safety policies and PPE requirements. Work the 2nd shift in a clean, safe environment with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Required Qualifications
- Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year high school
- Capability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Ability to understand and implement oral and written instructions
- Capability to maintain accurate written records
- Physical means to perform all duties assigned in a safe and efficient manner
- Good eyesight and capability to detect differences in colors and textures
- Demonstrated above average mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer/ERP skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs assisted by another person
