Job Summary
Operate and set up 1-color flex GTO sheet-fed/high-speed presses (1st shift). Perform complete press setup including loading stock, setting paper path/ stretch, mounting plates, mixing PMS ink, die registration, and adjusting ink/water balance to achieve accurate multi-color register and required attributes (per job instructions). Run jobs to meet ink density, color matching, size, and construction specifications; perform daily/weekly/monthly preventative maintenance; troubleshoot mechanical issues and adjust equipment (blanket changes, washing up units, water system, roller settings). Demonstrate understanding of press controls and capability to maintain quality through monitoring and adjustments; leverage basic math/reading/computer skills and Lean principles to ensure efficient, high-quality production.
Required Qualifications
- HS/GED
- 2 years manufacturing/printing experience
- 2 years printing press experience
- familiar with Lean principles
- basic math, reading and computer skills
- strong communication skills
