Job Summary
Press Lead overseeing production coordination and team motivation to apply TQPS principles (Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Cost Reduction). Responsible for assigning work, meeting production due dates, applying policies, disciplining and appraising team members, and coordinating Continuous Improvement activities through teaching and training associates in TSL. Requires ensuring safety compliance, 5-S maintenance, proper containment, quality audits, efficient changeovers, manpower planning, and timely communication with Group Leaders. Must lead by example, lift up to 50 pounds, and be available for non-routine hours to maintain production schedules. 1st shift, hourly pay, in Portland, TN.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prefer Associates Degree or equivalent experience of at least 2 years in a fast-paced Production Environment with an emphasis in Stamping / Welding
- Minimum two (2) years press experience with progressive, &/or transfer dies, &/or weld assembly processes
- Tow motor experience lifting dies and heavy loads
- Demonstrated capability of using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Intermediate skills in the use of EXCEL & Microsoft WORD
- Proficient Math, Computer, & Communication skills
- Demonstrated Leadership, Communication, & Facilitation Skill Sets
