Job Summary
Lead responsibilities for second shift in a press operation: review production schedules to determine billets, supervise billets per order, ensure billet temperature settings, direct press crew to align efforts, continuously inspect material for non-conformances (die lines, tears, broken holes, scratches), address employee inquiries and provide training for new team members, and recommend policy/process/quality/cost improvements to the Production Supervisor. Actively participate in continuous process improvement initiatives and host customer tours as requested. Requires 3-5 years of leadership experience (leadership program preferred) and experience in press operations, ability to read calipers/micrometers/tape measures/digital gage tables, and reading blueprints/parts drawings; familiarity with ISO certification and processes preferred. Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read and use measuring equipment such as: calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and digital gage tables.
- Must have experience reading blueprints and parts drawings.
- Combination of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in leadership and participation or completion of leadership program preferred.
- Previous press operating experience preferred. Normally acquired through three (3) to five (5) years of experience.
