Job Summary
Entry-level Web Pressman I on 1st & 2nd shifts assists in the operation of web printing presses under the direction of experienced press operators. Responsibilities include helping with setup, makeready, and press operation; loading paper rolls and threading webs; monitoring ink, water, and paper flow; performing basic press adjustments; assisting with press changeovers and cleanup; inspecting printed product for basic quality issues (registration, color, defects); pulling samples for review; notifying press operators of quality concerns; following safety policies and PPE requirements; maintaining a clean work area; participating in on-the-job training; progressing toward independent operation; communicating effectively with press crew, supervisors, and staff; supporting shift transitions with production updates; following SOPs for offset production; and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Willingness to learn web press operations
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Able to stand/walk, lift up to 40 lbs and sometimes up to 70 lbs
- Ability to operate with PPE and safety policies
