Job Summary
Prepare plates by punching holes and placing them in designated colors, then load skids of unprinted sheets onto the feed device of the sheet-fed press using a pallet jack. Assist the Press Operator in removing worn rollers, adjusting pressure, and operating dual control buttons to start, stop, or adjust machinery. Inspect materials for defects, identify and mark products following instructions, and remove finished items to staging for the bindery department. Record production data and report workplace hazards immediately. Ensure all equipment and workstations remain safe and in good working order. Available for required overtime and assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- Understand the printing process of the press machine.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to read, write, speak & understand English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the Press Operator.
- Ability to use hand/power tools and safe use of them.
- Ability to multi-task with changing priorities.
- Ability to recognize safety issues & corrective actions.
- Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
- Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned.
