Job Summary
Press Break Operator needed at Summit Appliance in Freehold NJ with additional facilities in Bronx, NY and Edison, NJ. Responsibilities include loading/unloading and setting up press brake machinery, performing routine adjustments and quality checks against prints, reading blueprints and CAD files, selecting proper tooling, operating CNC and folding equipment, and maintaining machines for optimal performance. Must read and interpret technical drawings, measure parts with calipers and micrometers, monitor for malfunctions, and follow safety policies. This is a long-term manufacturing role with a pay range of $19-$20 per hour, plus benefits, on a Mon-Thu 7:00–4:30 schedule and Fri 7:00–11:00.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of manufacturing work experience
- 2+ years of press brake machinery experience (prefer Trumpf)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
- Must be able to read, measure parts with calipers, micrometers; use measurement tools
- Familiar with folding machines
- Familiar with CNC machinery
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal materials, fabrication methods
- Ability to read and interpret CAD files
- Able to read, understand, and interpret dimensions, symbols
