Job Summary
Set up and run press operations in the metal fabrication department by selecting correct tooling, creating/editing CNC programs, and bending metal materials to blueprint specs. Read complex blueprints and production drawings, solve programming problems, and conduct quality checks on parts using calipers, micrometers, or other gauges. Adjust machine settings to achieve desired results, assemble fabricated parts with hand tools, and operate forklifts for material conveyance. Collaborate with team leaders and supervisors to ensure smooth operations while maintaining safety guidelines and organizing equipment regularly. Requires 3 years of Brake Press Operator and CNC Brake Press Setup experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Brake Press Operator: 3 years
- CNC Brake Press Setup: 3 years
- High School education referred (Diploma or GED)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely
- Reliable and flexible to changing needs
- Effective communication skills
- Travel: Minimal; less than 5%

- Bending experience is preferred
