Job Summary
Set-up specialized tooling and adjust brake machines to prepare for production, ensuring angles and dimensions meet customer specifications. Install, align, and clear alarms on equipment while reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools like calipers to verify accuracy. Monitor processes, recommend improvements, and assist operators with inspection techniques and training. Maintain work areas, manage material availability, and report equipment malfunctions to ensure efficient production flow. May serve as a lead in the absence of a supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Vocational training or certificate in machining, fabrication, or related field preferred
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience operating and setting up press brake machines in a metal manufacturing environment preferred
