Job Summary
Set up and operate press brake equipment to bend and form metal components using correct tooling, interpreting blueprints and CAD layouts to determine bending sequences. Inspect finished parts with precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy while performing routine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Adhere to all safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and use required PPE at all times. This role supports a metal fabrication operation specializing in precision-formed components for industrial and commercial applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with fabrication tools and equipment
- Experience operating CNC press brakes (e.g., Amada, Cincinnati) in a manufacturing environment
Desired Qualifications
- Strong understanding of metal properties, flat patterns, bend allowances, and tooling selection
- Mathematical ability to perform bend‑related calculations
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials
- Experience with CNC press brake programming
