Job Summary
Operate a press brake to bend, shape, and cut sheet metal and metal plates according to specifications. Prepare, set up, and adjust the press brake as required by product plans and production schedules. Ensure sufficient raw materials, measure and align materials, and inspect finished pieces for quality against standards. Perform routine maintenance and keep the work area clean. Follow instructions and read blueprints/drawings; maintain safety and PPE compliance. Strong attention to detail and basic math/COMPUTER skills are required to support manufacturing and fabrication of parts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating a press brake machine
- Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans including blueprints and drawings
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic computer and math skills
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds and wear PPE
