Job Summary
Operate a press brake to bend, shape, cut, and manipulate sheet metal according to specifications. Prepare, set up, and adjust the machine based on product plans and schedules. Ensure sufficient raw materials are available, measure and align materials, and inspect finished pieces for quality compliance. Perform routine maintenance and maintain a clean work area. This role reports to the Production Manager at Crown Technical Systems, a Flex Company, in Fontana, CA. The position offers a base pay range of $19.06 to $25.73 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating a press brake machine
- At least one year of experience in metal fabrication or related work
- Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans including blueprints and drawings
- Strong attention to detail skills
- Basic computer and math skills
- Physically able to operate the press brake
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time
- Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor
