Job Summary
Operate and set up press brakes to form shapes per blueprints. Read complex drawings, gather and install proper tooling and fixtures, run first piece and ensure conformance to drawings, and perform in-process inspection using precision instruments. Document inspection data, monitor tooling wear, coordinate with programming for flat pattern layout, and ensure compliance with process sheets and time standards. Maintain production efficiency, assist with tooling design, and uphold safety with required PPE. Requires three years of experience in the sheet metal industry, a high school diploma or equivalent, fluent English, and strong math and computer literacy. Must have reliable transportation and be able to work overtime, including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Three years experience operating and setting up press brakes in the sheet metal industry
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fluent in written and verbal English
- Reads and interprets complex drawings/blueprints to produce acceptable parts
- Strong computer literacy and math aptitude
