Job Summary
The Press Production Assistant Manager will oversee safety, development, and supervision of Supervisors and employees in the press department, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, cost, and productivity goals. Key duties include enforcing plant safety rules, leading teams toward World Class Manufacturing benchmarks, coordinating with maintenance for equipment reliability, managing budgets and forecasts, driving Lean initiatives, and ensuring on-time delivery. Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and a Bachelor’s Degree in Production/Operations Management or related field (or equivalent experience). Candidates should have leadership capabilities, experience with Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MES systems. The role requires the ability to lead, coordinate, and train staff, with physical capability to operate in a manufacturing environment and willingness to work across multiple sites. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Production/Operations Management or related field, or equivalent work-related experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing operation systems (ERP, MES)
- Strong leadership and supervisory abilities
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen would be beneficial
- Welding Press Experience
- Strong math, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multi-location operations
