Job Summary
Press Assistant will support Printing Press Operators to keep the press running and complete assigned tasks within time limits, including loading/unloading, tearing down/setup, palletization, and interpreting written work orders. Requires mechanical aptitude, ability to read a tape measure to 1/16", lifting up to 50 lbs (80 lbs occasionally), standing/walking/stooping/bending/twisting, and a team-oriented approach in a manufacturing/warehouse environment. Shift is 3rd: Sun-Thu, 11pm-7am, with comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) with match, paid time off, life/AD&D, disability coverage, EAP, and performance bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse work environment
- Mechanically inclined, ability to work with hands
- Machine operation experience is beneficial
- Ability to read a tape measure to a 1/16"
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis and up to 80 pounds if needed
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist, and use full dexterity of hands and fingers
- Assist in keeping press running; complete tasks within adequate time limits; tearing down and setting up jobs; loading/unloading of product
- Interpret and understand written information (work orders, SOP, tickets, etc.)
- Palletization, bagging, and tagging
- Keeping work and surrounding areas clean and safe
- Work in a team environment
- Must comply with SOPs (Safety, SQF/GMP)
