Job Summary
Operate stamping presses, including linear transfer systems, under direct supervision while assisting with changeovers, adjustments, and production startups. Monitor process parameters, conduct quality inspections using required gauges, and report production or safety concerns to the team leader. Perform basic equipment care, maintain 5-S standards, and participate in TQPS improvement activities. Adhere to all safety protocols and PPE requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Complete structured on-the-job and classroom training over a one-year term, available for any shift based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED – or training plan to obtain within 2 years
- Basic computer skills (email, login, run application)
- Demonstrated basic math skills
- Demonstrated reading and comprehension skills
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude skills
- Interest in developing hands-on technical skills
- Ability to work with a dynamic and demanding team
- Strong willingness to learn and follow instructions

- The term of the apprenticeship program is 1 year with an OJL attainment of 2,000 hours, supplemented by the minimum required of 144 hours of related instruction
- Individuals are required to be at NASG for classroom training and on-the-job training daily
- Ability to stand while operating equipment for extended periods of time
- Must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods during scheduled shift
- Must be capable of lifting, moving, and carrying up to 35 pounds
- Must be capable of occasionally lifting 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform its essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
