Job Summary

President & Chief Executive Officer for the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC). This full-time, remote position is based in Illinois with regular statewide travel. The role reports to the Board of Directors and leads the organization’s strategic direction, stakeholder engagement, financial sustainability, and external representation, guiding IMEC as a mission-driven partner to Illinois manufacturers within a complex public-private ecosystem. Responsibilities include strategic leadership, organizational performance, and fostering partnerships across government, industry, workforce, education, and economic development. Requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and significant executive leadership experience in mission-driven, stakeholder-focused environments; travel statewide is expected; work authorization is required with no visa sponsorship. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Significant executive leadership experience with responsibility for organizational strategy, financial performance, operations, and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience building strategic partnerships across government, industry, workforce, education, and economic development organizations
  • Ability to lead a geographically distributed leadership team
  • Reside in Illinois or willing to relocate to Illinois (based in Illinois)
  • Work authorization required; cannot sponsor visas
