Job Summary

Lead Achieva's day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and fiscal oversight while fostering innovation across five affiliates. Collaborate with the senior leadership team and Board of Trustees to establish policies, monitor compliance, and execute a refreshed strategic vision. Manage staff development, recruit talent, and visit sites to interact with clients and build healthy teams. Advocate passionately for people with disabilities, cultivate government and philanthropic relationships, and drive fundraising initiatives. Represent the agency at public events and participate in national groups to navigate regulatory changes. Ensure robust risk management, oversee long-term capital plans, and assess program effectiveness through data-driven evaluation.

  • Passion for and commitment to Achieva's mission, vision, and people with disabilities and their families
  • Exceptional and proven nonprofit management experience
  • Exceptional and proven leadership experience
  • Exceptional and proven relationship management experience
  • Exceptional and proven strategic planning experience
  • Past success working collaboratively with partners, including but not limited to government officials, legislators, philanthropic leaders, like-minded organizational partners, and a strong Board of Trustees
  • Knowledgeable about state and federal policies that impact Achieva's work
  • Demonstrated success in creating and promoting a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace environment that encourages growth and retention
  • Proven success with identifying, cultivating and securing funding from diverse sources, including individuals, corporations, philanthropies and government entities
  • Experience and confidence with public speaking before a wide range of professionals and community audiences
  • Stellar interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in leading an organization through a comprehensive strategic plan and can execute on that plan
  • Evidence of continuously seeking opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing organizational problems and challenges
  • Commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation
