Job Summary
Prescription Refills Specialist processes prescription refills and prior authorizations for Covenant Health Ambulatory Practices via centralized EMR work queues, documents prescription processing with accuracy, and communicates with patients about refill status. The role supports and covers Covenant Health Ambulatory Practices, adheres to workflows and protocols, and requires CMA certification with 2+ years MA experience preferred. Must be able to work within commutable distance if onsite; clinical documentation and patient communications are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
- 2+ years’ experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Certification and registration through the NCCA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT or NHA is required
