Job Summary
Perform prescription management tasks under the direction of a registered nurse, physician, dentist, or other licensed health care provider. Participate in quality improvement, in-service workshops, continuing education, and peer review as requested by management. Comply with OSHA regulations, CLIA, NYSDOH, Quality, and NOCHSI policies while engaging in Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives. Maintain a professional demeanor with patients and co-workers, ensuring confidentiality in all aspects of the position. This position offers a hybrid schedule once training is completed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a certified Practical Nursing program
- New York State license to practice practical nursing
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
- Willingness to accept direction from providers and supervisors
- Ability to work well and with compassion in stressful situations
- Professional and courteous demeanor with both patients and co-workers
- Keen awareness of the importance of confidentiality in all aspects of the position
