Job Summary

Answer new referral intake and refill calls, accurately inputting data into computer systems and coordinating with referral sources to initiate services. Contact patients to establish pharmacy profiles, discuss financial obligations, and address insurance issues requiring alternate funding or manufacturer reimbursement programs. Follow up on authorizations to ensure achievement prior to dispensing, schedule dispensing calendars, and manage shipping arrangements while assisting dispensing technicians with refill requests and order entries. Maintain accurate patient records, compile reports, and ensure compliance with ACHC/URAC accreditation standards and VytlOne's ethical business conduct policies. Work between 7am and 5pm in an outpatient pharmacy environment, exemplifying excellence in customer service and participating in required training and performance improvement processes.

Required Qualifications

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • TN Pharmacy Technician license
  • A minimum of two (2) years of Pharmacy Tech experience
  • prior Pharmacy Technician experience in a high volume, fast paced pharmacy
  • prior specialty experience
  • National Pharmacy Technician certification from PTCB or NHA
  • Ability to comply with the clients' occupational health requirements
  • Ability to follow established safety, infection control, environmental and isolation practices, and procedures
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of computer software including but not limited to software applications, data entry, EMR documentation, and email
  • Experience/understanding with medication prior authorization processes
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage workload
  • Ability to analyze information and identify inconsistencies
  • Continuous problem solving and quality improvement skills
  • Ability to operate various types of pharmacy computer software and equipment
  • Ability to access patient/drug information systems and accurately enter data
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
  • Must be available to work between the hours of 7am-5pm

Desired Qualifications

  • A combination of prior Pharmacy Technician experience in a high volume, fast paced pharmacy required along with prior specialty experience preferred
  • Specialty Pharmacy experience
  • Flexible to address any pharmacy need that may arise, especially those that are unexpected or sudden
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage workload
