Job Summary
Provide exceptional care and instruction for preschool children ages 3 to 5 within inclusive classrooms, teaching developmentally appropriate academic and social skills through whole group, small group, and one-on-one interactions. Create a positive, engaging learning environment by implementing effective classroom management and reinforcing routines. Prepare goals and instructional materials while coordinating curriculum implementation with the preschool team, including special education teachers and certified assistants. Communicate regularly with team members, administrators, and parents regarding children's development and behavior. Support the educational and social-emotional growth of students in a family-centered setting.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Example: Elementary Education)
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and an ability to share feedback across teams in a collaborative and solution-oriented way
- Expertise in delivering care for the educational, developmental, and social emotional growth of the children in your charge
- A warm, engaging approach with a family-centered focus
- The drive to work hard, to be your best self and to adapt to the constant change and evolution of care for children in their Early Childhood years
- An active NYS Teacher certification is preferred
