Job Summary
Preschool Teacher position within a state program coordinating with the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The role involves managing classroom activities, implementing curriculum and lesson plans focused on child development and behavioral skills, providing guidance and mentorship to students, conducting assessments of student performance, maintaining communication with parents and program staff, collaborating with families and colleagues, writing lesson plans, tutoring after school, and implementing behavioral interventions as directed by supervisors. The role requires supervising and supporting children with developmental needs (including DSM-5 diagnoses and autism-related conditions), organizing classroom activities, preparing snacks, assisting with dressing and diapering, monitoring progress notes, and coordinating programs to meet the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of children in the program. The position involves local travel to student homes, schools, and community settings, with a main office in Randolph and assignments in regions of the program; shifts include full-time daytime hours with varying schedules, Monday through Sunday as needed.
