Job Summary
Preschool Teacher responsible for delivering quality enrichment in early childhood education and care. Assists Preschool Director with planning and instruction of daily classroom lessons and activities; designs creative lesson plans; establishes routines and provides positive guidance while building children’s self-esteem; monitors classroom behavior and uses positive discipline; communicates effectively with families and staff; assists with processing preschool tuition payments. Requires CPR certification and ability to stand for extended periods; high school diploma or GED required (degree in Early Childhood Education preferred). Part-time role focusing on classroom instruction, student development, and collaboration with program staff to meet curriculum objectives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred but not required
- Current certification in CPR
- Must be able to exert up to twenty-five pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to move objects when needed
- Physical demands include standing for extended periods
