Job Summary
Co-Lead Preschool Teacher responsible for planning and implementing a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Oregon’s Early Learning & Multnomah County Preschool for All standards and VHFLC’s philosophy; supervising and engaging preschoolers; maintaining a safe and welcoming classroom; building relationships with children and families; using positive guidance; maintaining health, safety, and documentation; and collaborating with center leadership and teaching team.
Required Qualifications
- An Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field — OR at least one year of qualifying teaching experience (minimum 1,500 hours) in a licensed ECE program with preschool-aged children
- minimum Step 7 in the Oregon Registry (ORO), or the ability to attain it within 30 days of hire
- Enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry
- Current Adult & Pediatric First Aid, CPR & AED certification
- Current Oregon Food Handler’s Card
- Completion of required ELD trainings: RRCAN, ICCHS, PBtT, FFL, and Safe Sleep for Oregon’s Infants
