Job Summary
Conduct all classroom operations including lesson planning, carrying out activities, maintaining the environment, supervising children, and managing parent/teacher conferences. Design and implement plans that address individual child needs while exposing them to meaningful experiences within a team setting with staff and volunteers. Provide activities that reinforce key skills in cognitive, social-emotional, physical, language, literacy, and mathematics areas, and actively encourage parent participation in the classroom and program events. Work with preschool-aged children and families to support curriculum and learning goals.
Required Qualifications
- NJ P-3 Standard Certificate
- N-8
- CE or CEAS NJ P-3
- In Process of Obtaining NJ P3 Standard Certificate
- experience teaching pre-school children
- Head Start/Early Head Start classrooms
- minimum of three years' experience working with preschool aged children and families
