Job Summary
Support preschool classrooms by creating a safe, nurturing environment that encourages children's social-emotional development and independence. Assist with daily routines including arrival, transitions, snack time, and dismissal while supervising children to maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Facilitate age-appropriate, play-based activities that foster creativity and curiosity, strictly adhering to established program guidelines and health and safety procedures. This on-call substitute role begins September 14th, 2026, and ends May 21st, 2027, with hours varying based on program needs at the Alcott Center.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Previous experience working with preschool aged children
- Must be available for on-call substitute work
- Must be available for work Monday - Friday
- Must be available for work 8:30am - 2:30pm
- Must be able to lift a participant
- Must be able to work during various weather and building conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education/Early Childhood, or related field
