Job Summary
Develop engaging lesson plans that support children's physical, cognitive, and emotional development while guiding young learners through nature-based exploration up to 80% of the day outdoors. Foster strong relationships with children and families, maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where every child feels valued. Collaborate with a team of educators to create a positive, cohesive classroom atmosphere while ensuring compliance with EEC regulations, NAEYC best practices, and quality standards. This role requires standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs for active outdoor play. Earn $20.00–$25.00 per hour with a part-time schedule at the South Shore YMCA's Nature Science Center in Norwell, MA.
Required Qualifications
- meets EEC Teacher qualifications
- meets EEC Lead Teacher qualifications
- Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Knowledge of EEC regulations, QRIS Standards, and NAEYC best practices
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Strong classroom management skills
