Job Summary
Create and follow a comprehensive curriculum while teaching beginning reading and math skills to a class of students. Assist children with developing social and emotional skills using a range of instructional methods and learning techniques. Communicate with parents and other school personnel to support student progress. Assess students' skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones. Maintain knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines while adhering to best practices in education and classroom management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and state teaching certification
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
- Problem-solving and mediation skills
