Job Summary
Preschool Teacher responsible for managing daily operations of a 10-month preschool program, creating a safe and stimulating early education environment, implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, training and directing Preschool Instructional Assistants, collaborating with staff to plan lessons, and maintaining strong parent engagement through conferences and communication. The role requires Catholic-education alignment, completion of 12+ ECE units, CPR/First Aid, immunizations, a Livescan/background check, Mandated Reporter training, and a TB clearance. The position is full-time in Oceanside, CA, with a pay rate of $22/hour and non-exempt status.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of completion of 12 or more Early Childhood Education (ECE) Units
- Clear criminal background check (a clear Livescan for Community Care Licensing is a condition of employment)
- Experience teaching in a preschool classroom
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Proof of immunizations
- Proof of completed Mandated Reporter training for Child Care Providers
- Cleared TB test to work in Licensed Child Care Facility
- Active, practicing Roman Catholic (preferred)
- Basic Catechetical Certification (preferred)
- Respects and understands a Catholic school philosophy
