Keep safety of children as a first priority, emphasizing personal safety and emotional well-being with children, families, and staff at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate curricula that foster development while providing differentiated instruction to meet individual needs. Conduct child assessments and provide feedback and recommendations to parents and caregivers. Lead by personal example, interpreting the YMCA character values to serve as positive role models. Use positive behavior management methods to ensure all staff align, supervise children for safety and appropriate behavior, and guide transitions smoothly. Collaborate with co-teachers to design classroom spaces, ensuring materials are ready for use and put away at the end of the day. You must be at least 21 years old, hold EEC certification, and obtain First Aid/CPR, Child Abuse Prevention, Blood Born Pathogen, and Sexual Harassment training within the first 60 days.
